I have been using the PWA version of Outlook ever since the pandemic started. It makes a very good email client. Recently since I started using a chromebook I have been experimenting with PWA versions of Office 365 applications such as Word and Onedrive. I like them as well.
I can see this technology being used more often in future. The ability to update the app quickly, they are HTML based after all, is very attractive to network managers. PWAs can address the OS’s features, such as printing or being pinned to menus. This is combination of features that is very attractive to developers.
Might this be the way future cloud based library systems operate? I would not be surprised.
