I read a story about someone using ChatGPT to write a science fiction short story.

I decided to try this out myself. I set up an account with ChatGPT and looked about their site. There I found some documentation about their API. It doesn’t look to difficult so configure a web took using ChatGPT as a back end. (At least it did to me. I am no programmer.)
After I finished poking around I decided to try my hand at prompting a science fiction story.
I entered this prompt:
describe a future paris termite mounds arranged like social insects 200000 years in the future from the view point of a time traveller written by jules verne
This is the output:
As I stood in the heart of Paris, gazing upon the towering termite mounds that dotted the landscape, I couldn’t help but be awestruck. These massive structures, arranged in intricate patterns and reaching heights of over 100 feet, were a far cry from the city I once knew.
Through some miraculous evolution, these termites had developed the ability to construct elaborate and sophisticated structures that rivaled the great human cities of the past. Each mound was a carefully organized network of tunnels and chambers, housing thousands upon thousands of the tiny insects.
As I explored the mounds, I was amazed at the complexity of their social structure. Like the ants and bees of our own time, these termites had formed a highly organized society, with each individual fulfilling a specific role and function.
But what truly amazed me was the technology and innovation that these termites had developed. As I wandered through the tunnels and chambers, I saw termites using tools and machines to accomplish tasks that would have been unimaginable to their ancestors.
It was clear that these termites had reached a level of sophistication that far surpassed anything we could have dreamed of. And as I stood there, marveling at the wonders of this futuristic Paris, I couldn’t help but wonder what other incredible advancements these termites would make in the coming centuries.
Jules Verne said he usually had ten novels in his head, and probably most avid readers do as well. Is it too difficult to envision a future where a person can subscribe to a service that could produce customised novels based on a user’s own prompts and plot ideas?
